Japanese Film Festival Preview - Samson

One of the first contributors we looked to for this blog was the passionate Samson Kwok of Heroic Cinema. A master on all things Asian cinema, Samson jumped at the opportunity to be involved with this blog of creative expression. He has put together a preview of the festival which you can read below.

Don't forget if you want to contribute to this entertaining blog then get in touch with Assistant Coordinator Kieran Tully at assistantcoordinator@jpf.org.au now. Bring on the festival!

"The fabulous Japanese Film Festival, now into its 14th year, is almost here! This year, fans will get to choose from an incredibly strong line-up of Japanese films, many of which have never been shown in Australia previously.

Whether you are in the mood for something inspirational (Feel the Wind), delicious (Flavor of Happiness), bittersweet (Solanin) or suspenseful (Zero Focus), it is guaranteed that you will not be disappointed. Plus there are award-winning dramas (Villon's Wife, Dear Doctor), film festival favourites (Confessions, About Her Brother), historical epics (Castle Under Fiery Skies, Sword of Desperation), and heaps more...

Are you excited? If the answer is 'yes', please mark the following dates in your calendars and run for your tickets when they go on sale:
Perth: 18 - 29 October
Brisbane: 27 - 29 October
Canberra: 10 - 21 November
